With the arrival of the new Controller Area Network (CAN) vehicle communication protocol in 2003, Ford began moving to a flexible and modular diagnostic tools strategy that uses standard computing platforms (e.g. laptops, Pocket-PCs, etc.) with Ford's new VCM devices.
Ford VCM, The Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) communicates with all Ford vehicles via the 16-pin diagnostic link. This single device is used by all Ford diagnostic software and is the core of the modular strategy. VCM ownership provides access to all the VCM software listed below.

Compatible Vehicles
This machine can do ford and Mazda old and new cars, no year limitation. For jaguar and land rover, it can only do after 2005 year. It will ask for pin code for ford cars before 2009 when you do key programming. After 2010, it do not need pin code.

Features
The VCM unit is housed in a magnesium enclosure with a tough protective plastic cover for the PCMCIA expansion slot which can be used for wireless LAN card or memory expansion.
The VCM unit contains five LED status indicators to provide the user with a visual mode/status of internal VCM, vehicle and host device (such as: NGS Classic's T-Handle, PC, Pocket PC/PDA and Laptop/IDS) operation.
This diagnostic kit also comes with detachable cables for connection to industrial standard high-speed host interfaces as well as to the vehicle under test.
The included VCM 2007.7 DVD includes both IDS (Integrated Diagnostic Software) and PDS (Portable Diagnostic Software) tools.
Diagnostic coverage includes most Ford, Lincoln, Mercury & Mazda vehicles from 1996 to present, as well as Jaguar vehicles from 1996 to present andLand Rover from 2005 to present.

Requirements for installing the software?
1. Your computer must be windows XP SP2 or SP3
2. Software need install on C disk
3. Need install the convert software and follow the instruction.
Note: The application will detect the interface device that is connected to the laptop. Indicator icons will appear at the bottom right-hand corner of the IDS screen when the VCM is connected.
